A waitress, at a first century all night diner, is finishing up her shift, just before dawn, on the night Jesus was arrested. She relates her down-to-earth perspectives on the events of Passion week to some of the regulars who’ve been out of town.
The final customer of the night enters, and she recognizes him as one of Jesus’s friends, but he denies it and leaves just as the cock crows. A nice blend of 1st and 21st century elements. Communicates how fast the change of events happened between Sunday and Thursday night.
