Karen informs Laura that she will be soon joining her club as she is going to get a divorce. Instead of the response she expects, Laura asks her to examine herself and her marriage real hard before she takes that final step. The price is high, the wounds deep. Laura relates how she discovered that some of her former marriage's issues were her ex-husband’s problems but some were also her issues that have continued to come up in other relationships.
She encourages Karen to do whatever it takes to make the marriage work, before going through a divorce. The ending is left open. There are no pat answers in this, but thought provoking look at a tough issue from a Christian perspective.
