Quality Time - Solomon's Father

David is teaching Soloman how to shoot a sling – only to discover that Soloman doesn’t like the sling. He’d rather be building things. This is a surprise to David as are a lot of other things about his growing son that he’s been so busy with his work as King to notice.

Based on accounts of David’s parenting in the Old Testament, this piece is easily applicable to Dads today. It has been used for ministry conversations between teenagers and their dads after seeing this piece.

Sounds very serious, but it is lively, at moments funny, but with a poignant good ending that supports the fact that Soloman started off his own reign as King centered on God.
